I was fortunate enough to be approached by the new poetry journal, Train, for an interview about my writing. Among other topics, I talk about confluences between my academic and creative selves, what it’s like to grow up in a small Northern city, and the importance of mentorship. (I also take the opportunity to name a few poets whose work deserves more attention, including the incredible Dana Claxton, who has two poems published in the recent special issue of Canadian Literature I co-edited with Gregory Betts, 235 Concepts of Vancouver: Poetics, Art, Media).
